"My 47 year old son, Charlie, has participated in PARC’s programs for move than 25 years. He has enjoyed the diverse activities PARC offers and especially the social contacts he has experienced. Charlie has developed many meaningful relationships over the years. He has had the opportunity to learn independent living skills in a friendly and “fun” environment. He has also learned to trust his peers, support them through sad events and help them to celebrate happy times. Through PARC activities he has experienced the influence of the community which has been an education for him, and them as well. If not for PARC Charlie’s life would not have been so enriched."

How PARC Makes a Difference
If you’re wondering just how PARC makes a difference, here are a few stories from parents of our clients…
"During our last Camp Trumbull session I was thrilled to see so many new staff faces and volunteers. One in particular was a client and former camper. My son, Steve, walked in on Monday morning with his famous “I can’t hide my excitement grin” and a skip in his step. This was the first day of Camp, and we needed all the help we could get. Throughout the day, Steve continued to lend a hand, from singing the “Hello” song in the morning to orchestrating a musical instrument jam session in the afternoon. As I sat and watched our former camper, Steve, aid our new campers in such a selfless way, something clicked. This is what Camp Trumbull is all about – giving back to the community that has always been there to help you."
