Dear Friend,

Because you know and understand the important work that PARC does, I'm writing to ask you to be a Team Captain for PARC's 9th Annual Walk-a-thon on October 11, 2008 in Norton Park in Plainville. Since you're someone with a lot of connections in the community, I personally think you'd be great at this! We're looking for captains to recruit 3 - 4 friends to join them in collecting pledges for and participating in PARC's Walk-a-thon. Participants might be friends, coworkers, family members, anyone who might enjoy a walk in the park on a beautiful fall day. We ask that all teams set a fundraising goal of at least $200, but feel free to raise more!
 
Our hope is that this will both raise awareness of PARC's programs and activities among a greater number of people, as well as increase our fundraising proceeds. Is this something you'd be willing to help us out with?

This year, collecting pledges is even easier in that we can now accept donations online at www.plainvillearc.org, as well as by check or cash. Our website has recently been redesigned, take a look and let us know what you think!
