Plainville, Connecticut
Camp Trumbull

                                 Summer Camp July-August 2014
                                                       Dates-TBA
                                            Ages 5 years-20 years old

Camp Trumbull's Director is a Special Education Teacher, Ms Abigail Condon.  Our special needs camp features Healthy Living Activities, Gentle Yoga on site, Cooking, Art projects, Gardening, Wii game time, Field trips, Swim time, and connections with other community organizations, who bring their skills on site for our campers to experience.

We have a dedicated team that work with each individual, within a group stetting, at thier own level, offering activities which are age appropriate along with daily life skill challenges.

The camp is for 6 weeks, half day sessions.  The 12-20 year old group is from 9:00-12:00 and the  5-11 year old session is from 1:00-4:00 pm.  We provide all transportation to and from daily programmed trips during thier daily session with us.  Unfortunatly, we can not provide transportation back and forth to camp from thier home.

We work closely with the Plainville, New Britain and a few other interested school districts including individual families.  If your loved one has a paraprofessional assisting them daily in school, then they would also need this professional staff on site for our camp.

This camp is supported by the American Savings Foundation, The Plainville Recreation & Park Department, The Norton Trust Foundation and the The Wheeler YMCA.
